GET TO KNOW ME

Hello! I’m Alex, a licensed clinical psychologist who works with women and girls at all stages of life—from adolescence through early adulthood, motherhood, and beyond. Whether you’re navigating identity and self-worth, managing anxiety or depression, building healthy relationships, or facing life transitions, I’m here to provide a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. I’m dedicated to supporting clients across Massachusetts and New York as they move through life’s challenges, and I approach my work with deep passion for mental health and an empathic, thoughtful demeanor.

My primary goal is to create a safe, supportive space where my clients feel understood and encouraged. While I lead with compassion, I also believe in gently challenging my clients when needed to help them take meaningful steps toward change. My therapy style is flexible, integrative, and tailored to you—whether that means open-ended, conversational sessions or a more structured, skills-based approach. I blend feminist and relational therapy with behavioral medicine techniques, drawing from CBT, DBT, positive psychology, stress management, mindfulness, and hypnosis to create a comprehensive, individualized experience. I also believe in the healing power of humor, so I try to bring a touch of lightness when appropriate.

My practice includes teenage girls, college students, young professionals, and women across the lifespan who are facing the pressures of identity development, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship struggles, depression, anxiety, and major life shifts. I enjoy having the opportunity to work with girls and women of all ages, helping them navigate the challenges that arise in different stages of life.

I also have a particular passion and specialty in supporting women through the perinatal period—including fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to motherhood. My own experiences with infertility, birth trauma, and postpartum depression and anxiety have profoundly shaped this work and led me to pursue advanced training through Postpartum Support International. I know firsthand how overwhelming and isolating the entire journey can be—from trying to conceive, to pregnancy, to postpartum, and beyond. I’m committed to providing compassionate, effective support so you can navigate each stage with confidence and the reassurance that you don’t have to go through it alone.

I grew up in New York City, attending an all-girls school where the motto was, “Not for school, but for life we learn.” That philosophy has always resonated with me, and I believe it applies just as well to therapy. My goal is to equip my clients with tools and insights they can carry with them long after our sessions end. My time in that environment also instilled in me strong feminist values and a deep understanding of the unique challenges that women and girls face. These values continue to shape my work today.

I currently live in Boston with my husband and our two sons, balancing the demands of family life with my passion for making a positive impact in my clients’ lives. Though I’ve made Boston my home, I’m still a New Yorker at heart, bringing the city’s energy, resilience, and irreverent sense of humor into my work.

My goal is to make you feel seen, heard, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and ease. No matter where you are in your journey you deserve support, and I’m here to help.
