GET TO KNOW ME

Hello! I'm Alex, a clinical psychologist supporting women and girls across Massachusetts and New York. I work with clients from adolescence through motherhood and beyond, on issues ranging from anxiety and depression to identity concerns, relationship struggles, and major life transitions.

My approach blends feminist and relational therapy with tools from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and behavioral medicine. I'm also trained in Brainspotting, a technique that allows for deeper processing of emotions that talk therapy can't always reach. By integrating different therapeutic models, I am able to be flexible and tailor sessions to your specific needs. We can create an open, conversational space to process your thoughts, a structured environment focused on building immediate coping skills, or a mix of both. I lead with compassion and empathy but will also challenge you when needed to help you meet your goals.

My clients include teenage girls, college students, young professionals, and women navigating everything from career pressure to caregiving. Many struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or feeling lost in life. I have a subspecialty in perinatal mental health, and enjoy supporting women through fertility and pregnancy to postpartum and the transition to motherhood. My own experience with infertility, pregnancy and labor complications, and postpartum depression, as well as the realization that so many women in my life had gone through similar struggles, led me to pursue advanced training with Postpartum Support International. I know how isolating the journey can be, and I don't think anyone should have to navigate it alone.

I grew up in New York City and attended an all-girls school where the motto was, “Not for school, but for life we learn.” This philosophy still guides me today. I see therapy as a way to build insight, resilience, and tools that you will use throughout your life. My education also instilled strong feminist values and a deep appreciation for the unique challenges women and girls face, both of which inform my work every day.

I currently live in Boston with my husband and our two sons, juggling the chaos right along with everyone else. It's the mix of lived experience and clinical training that shapes how I work with clients. My goal is for you to feel truly seen, and to leave my office with the confidence and skills to live the life you want.
